*All armed personnel must hold a valid GA Blue Card or complete the necessary state
training to qualify. Franchise Managers must meet all standards set by the Georgia
Board of Private Detectives and Security Agencies.
THE TRADITIONAL ROUTE VS. OUR WAY
Starting a licensed security company in Georgia traditionally requires:
- 2+ years supervisory or law enforcement experience
- $100 application fee
- $500 licensing fee
- $125 written exam
- $250/year surety bond or $7,500–$13,500/year general liability insurance
- $500 license renewal every two years
- Total cost: $9,000–$15,000/year, excluding uniforms and equipment

Franchise Managers
- 90% of accounts they secure
- 85% of accounts referred by MSI
Private Security Company Partners
- $20/hr for unarmed officers
- $30/hr for armed officers
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Age: 25 or older
- 2+ years in security, law enforcement, or combat military
- Valid Georgia Driver’s License
- Professional appearance
- Clean criminal background
- Completion of required state-mandated training
- Ownership of necessary equipment

Yes. You’re responsible for uniforms and equipment. Financing options may be available for
qualifying candidates.
No. You must live within 30 miles of the accounts you manage. You may earn a referral
commission (10%) for out-of-area accounts.
Franchisees typically earn between $22–$40/hour, depending on services and contracts
secured.
Yes. You must either add MSI as an additional insured party or purchase a security bond per
state regulations.
